- Posterior Chamber Intraocular Lenses (IOL) also known as Sulcus Supported Intraocular lenses (IOL) consist of securing the IOL in the ciliary sulcus and is a replacement for the natural crystalline lens. 
- This type of IOL is most often implanted after a cataract surgery after the removal of the crystalline lens.
